there will be people that will need this. What if I wanted to buy a limited edition 3ds and it's firmware is crap? I can downgrade and it's value will skyrocket.

I didn't mean that people won't need it, just that I don't and I'd rather know what I can do to help people who do now than later

I just browsed like 10 pages and half the thread is filled with useless shitpost, and since I'm kinda lazy to read everything from the beginning and I've got a regional tournament this sunday I'd like to use my own 3DS (which is at 9.2 with RXTools and such) instead of a crappy pink 3DS or a 2DS (perfect for screen peeking, wooo):
-Can I upgrade to 10.6/10.5 and then downgrade to 9.2 with this?
-Is the Sysupdater I found on previous page like the first one that came out which half-downgraded/bricked various consoles?
-Do I seriously have to participate on an official competition with a pink 3DS?

I don't think anyone has confirmed this on o3DS sysNAND yet, only emuNAND.

Amiibos are worthless since a lot of it is getting reprinted. But don't you agree that there are people out there that are willing to buy a limited edition 3ds just because it's "rare"? And then a bunch of it is being scalped on ebay for double the price. It's true because I've seen FE fates limited edition 3ds and pokemon r/b/y n3ds being sold out at launch date.

We don't know it yet. Everyone is too lazy to check if this exploit is actually working. We're far from downgrading as we don't even know if you can install a .cia with it. But it may be possible as it makes memchunkhax2 work again.
It works on O3DS right now, there are no news for the N3DS.
The SysUpdater you found on previous pages is not working it hangs and it won't brick your console but it also won't downgrade it.

whenever is discovered a new way to downgrade, people update their consoles and then are begging for a new downgrade method.
this is a vicious circle.

but I hope for a kernel exploit 10.4+
