I don't really use Luma3DS that much, but these are the settings I turn on when I do use it
* Autoboot SysNAND
* Use custom path
* Enable game patching
* Show NAND or user string in System Settings
* Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM
* Patch SVC/service/archive/ARM9 access
* Enable exception handlers

I believe I have:
• Autoboot SysNAND
• Enable loading external FIRMs and modules
• Enable Game Patching
• Show NAND or user string in System Settings
• Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM

Ok, there is no love for "Set developer UNITINFO"
I used it ( luma isn't my main cfw). The main reason it isn't alway enabled is it only allows dev title encrypted to be installed (already installed will work) and it breaks some online features.

I'm more a user of Corbenik, but here's my config when it's used:
+ Autoboot sysNAND
+ Use sysNAND FIRM if booting with R
+ Enable game patching
+ Show NAND or user string in System Settings
+ Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM

For SD card mounted, I use:
  • Autoboot SysNAND
  • Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R
  • Enable game patching
  • Show NAND or user string in System Settings
  • Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM
  • Enable exception handlers

For NAND only, I use:
  • Show NAND or user string in System Settings
  • Set developer UNITINFO
  • Enable exception handlers

I'm surprised not many people have exception handlers enabled, it's an excellent setting to have on at all times
It's actually more sensitive than the stock "an error has occurred" or the dev version with the error code added on top, so you do actually get more crashes (at least when I used Luma in the form of Puma33DS)

Anyway:

Brightness 2
Sysnand
GBA logo
Exceptions (most of the time)
Unitinfo (when needed)

I haven't got excessive crashes, and I really like the feature

Excuse my ignorance, but where do I find these options? I don’t seem to have them in either the bootmenu (GodMode 9) nor in the GUI (L+Down+Select). Thanks!

Enable game patching ✔
Show NAND or user string in System Settings ✔
Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM ✔
