Title may explain my question, can i send pokemon from HG/SS from a DSTwo on my DS to my retail copy of Pokemon White 2 on my 3DS, will it work?

The previous gen game must always be a retail, non-bootleg game cart to use the in-game transfer function. No exceptions.
