So does the Touchpod firmware update work for SS?

I've been scrambling around updating my system folder left and right and haven't found a work one yet

Also, I downloaded my copy of Soulsilver from a certain website lol, which lists Soulsilver as 4749, Should I download the 4788 Soulsilver?

Because the changelogs for the M3 updates say 4788 is fixed, but nothing about 4749 is mentioned... do these numbers even matter O_O lol?

Finally, will I be able to retain my save file (20~ hours played with constant crashes... go figure)?

tl;dr someone tell me how to get soulsilver working?

the rom release numbers doesn't matter
since gbatemp, ds scene and the rom site you mentioned have their own...
so just ignore it

i think what you should look for is the version/country/region

if they say they fixed U then go get the U

Nope, ive been keeping up with it, but last i checked it was still pretty broken on m3, acekard/cyclo/edge and some others have been fixed for awhile.

its been band-aid fixed. the freezes still happen just not as often as before.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I sort of came to, just got excited when I read the thread about the firmware update where people said SS worked for the completely

On a rather relevant side note, does anyone have any idea what triggers the freeze and how long it takes? (Time? Events/actions?)
