Just play the game and stop hacking.

does it work for you?

and.. is "soft resetting/l+r+select+start" can damage my save data, game or my dsi?
cuz im doing it for a while now to get adamant nature and an attack IV for my totodile..

First:
No there is no cheat to modify what pokemon gives what EV. There _IS_ a code that will give you 252 EV in all or whatever stat you want. To use that code (I'm not posting it, download the GBATemp Cheat database) all you have to do is go to a PC, go to DEPOSIT Pokemon, select the pokemon you want to modify, go to MARKING, select one of the icons, press CONFIRM and the code will be applied.

Second:
Yes, the L/R to view EV/IV code does work. You need at least 2 Pokemon with you. First go into the summary page, hold the button for what you want to see (L for EV, R for IV) go to the stats page, then SWITCH which Pokemon you are looking at. This can be done by touching one of the Pokemon on the right side of the bottom screen.

Third:
If you want to know how to use a code in the future, open up the cheat database (for me usrcheat.dat) in an editor of some sort. For me I use R4CCE which you can find on filetrip. Then just find the code you are looking for and check the comment section.

**Edit**

No, soft reset will not damage your DSI, Flashcart, game, or save data.
