In My Opinion,I think that Dawn is a More Competent Battler and More Beautiful than Misty,But Follow Whether Female Character you decide on using.

Well,Lyra Happens to be one the Female Character on Heart Gold/Soul Silver,if not one of the Rivals

Doesn't really sound like it was part of the real story of the D/P season(s), so I don't think it should matter who was shown there...

I think, you should take Misty (or some unknown girl - hell, maybe a female version of Ash)

I am 25 Years Old and Have Played Every Single Handheld Pokemon Game

) 90% of the hoen some of the johto and i have played and beaten all the pokemon handheld games! and frankly, i think that i have a better idea of what the hell im talking about than u do! if oyu think dawn, an ugly and terrible battler who refuses to evolve her damn piplup is a good idea for a rival in a HOENN game, then you have no idea what the crap your talking about! on terms of LYRA, an equally ugly and unskilled battler who im pretty sure, from watching a few of the crap newer episodes, is bloody INSANE, is a good idea for a rival, think again! according to the anime, she lives in sinnoh, according to the games she's from johto! this makes things reeeaaalllyyy unclear! for all we know, she could be from mars!

now using misty, crystal or blue/leaf as a rival, now THATS a good idea!

I draw and colour them on the computer,

While using hg/ss sprites would be alot quicker, I just don't think they'd fit in with the 5th gen sprites, as they're smaller...
