ROM Hack Pokemon sacred gold and storm silver problem

After patching a pokemon heart gold rom with xDelta GUI i get a patched version of the game, the only problem is that the size of the new file is 0 bytes and it can't be opened with DeSmuMe.
Has any of you had this problem and how did you fix it?
