Gaming Pokemon Questions + News

Hey all I just have some Pokemon questions and news...
The questions, to begin with:
If I'm not mistaken, in Pokemon Heart Gold, you get to go to Kanto, which is the region of Red/Blue and remakes Fire Red/Leaf Green. Am I correct?
If yes, then is the Kanto of Heart Gold different than the older Kanto? Ok, this question might confuse you... What I meant is, in Kanto of Heart Gold, do you have all the missions that were in Red/Blue/FR/LG? Cause I wanna complete my National Pokedex so I'm wondering if I need to play Fire Red/Leaf Green to add the Kanto Pokemon to my National Pokemon or will the Kanto of Heart Gold be enough.

Alright, just so I don't make another thread, I also wanted to tell/remind everyone here that there is a Pokemon Wi-Fi event at the moment where if you have Heart Gold, you'll be able to catch Latios, and in Soul Silver, you can catch Latias. Read more here.

HG/SS is a remake of the origional

just basically shined up and obviously had the newer Pokemon added to the game

Yeah so overall, I don't need to play FR/LG to get the Kanto Pokemon if I have Heart Gold, Am I correct?

Right, though of course the kanto pokemon available in FR/LG differ from the ones in HG/SS.

What do you mean "Different"?
If they're both Kanto, I don't expect a difference.

The same sort of difference as between FR and LG, different ones are available in different games, no one game has access to all of them.
