Trygle12 did you try making the tool initialize the cart before trying to transfer the save? It might not do anything, but it can't hurt to try.

Yeh I did. Same result.

Meh. At this point the time spent trying to figure this out will surpass the time spent on the game!

I just wanted to be able to PokeSav my old Pokemon from my (lost) Pearl cartridge. The next best thing would be to make the whole process a lot smoother with a cheat device.

I tried Nitro Hax, but using the cheats.xml on GBAtemp freezes it.

I modified the XML file (as it is very easy to understand, Thanks to whomever coded that

) but every time I go into a folder Nitro Hax freezes!

If I remove the folders everything is fine. I just need to split the XML files into smaller chunks with specific code types and no folders...

1) has anyone tried the Panasonic formatter on their SD card....
2) or removed the Soft Rest, Download Play, or Cheats patch on Platinum?

allowing a patch gives it a slot in the DS's RAM slowing down gameplay in some games. removing the patches gives you maximum performance.

or is this problem not SD related?

Yes, I can confirm that it still slows down.

SD card is a Japanese Kingston, formatted with Panasonic.

I have not tried any faster cards.

Experiencing lags on a Dane Elec Class 6 SD card and on a Kingston Class 4. Both formatted with the Panasonic formatter.

No options such as soft reset or download play running.

My dstt runs the game with no lag, but my acekard 2.1 lags.

Confirming also that doing what jonjon95 does still doesn't get rid of slowdown.

So AceKard 2.1 has lag, and DSTT has erased saves due to corruption. Great.

Might as well just buy Pokemon Platinum then.
