Hey Guys,

A few days ago I have bought the sky3ds. I can play all games except for the pokemon games (XY and ORAS).
When using the diskwriter, all EEPROM games can be played.

When starting my 3ds, the game I can shift through all games. When I come to the pokemon game and boot it, my 3ds will tell me the game card has been removed. (I used an EU rom since my 3ds is EU)

I have tried:
- Checking the template file with the (Sky3DScTool_v102_EN) program.
- Creating a new template file just for pokemon omega ruby.
- Using a different micro SD card.
- USed newest template and tools from site

Please help me out.

goto sky3ds website and download the new template file and updated tools

I did that too. Should have listed that. It did not work for me.

Tools used:
Template 0102.txt
Diskwriter V1.05

Both are form the website.

This might seem like a silly question, but what model (button color) Sky3DS are you using?

Hey there, I actually have the red button version (1st revision) and I actually have Omega Ruby working on mine. Have you tried either:

  • different ROM (yours may be bad)
  • Formatting the SD card again
  • Using the windows program on windows 7 (8.1 has compatibility issues and is unstable)
  • again, updated template files, making sure you have the latest diskwrite program?

Also, It indicates the wrong roms.

- Do you load the EU roms or the US roms?
- Your roms could be faulty

Sky3DS is not regionfree, you have to use EU roms on your EU 3DS or US roms on your US 3DS
Also, Only retail gamecart dumps work, no eshop dumps

I am using the red button model (something with the 10 game limit model)

In that case, what might be the issue is that the original 10 games might already be registered in the Sky3DS cart. If that is the case, it may be trying to cycle past it to the next game, and trying to find one of the original 10.

Try holding the button on the cart down as soon as you see the title screen (before the light comes back on) for about five seconds. It should cause an error, which will make the light continuously strobe, and the game should play and save fine.

@ Mister Johnbus
Thanks a lot man. The holding the button actually worked. As of now you have been accpeted as the REAL lord an saviour :P

@ Djoen
Yes I got screwed big time unfortunately. It works now though thankfully.

Thanks for the replies guys.
