Just wanted to know what the difference was between red and blue highlighted areas for a pokemon's location (e.g. check wurmple's location in the "area" section of the pokedex).
I havent gone far in the game btw, thanks.

* wrong forum btw, but this should be a quick topic

I'm guessing the red areas are the towns/cities where you can get badges, and the blue areas are just regular towns.

naw I mean when you check the area of pokemon, some sections flash blue, others red, is it to do with how common they are or their gender? Just wondering out of interest.

I had a quick check on gamefaqs but it doesn't seem to say what it's for either. I dont want to search so thoroughly that I find spoilers.

so abolutely NO ONE here knows what it's for?

the only thing i can think you mean is the sign post i'm looking at, at the minute in jubilife city and there's a red and blue square on there but that means the pokemon centre and the pokemon store

blue is where its common, red is where its rare. take goldeen shes blue all over the place, while croagunk shows up in red in the safari zone

These colours also appear when you look at the map in the touch screen using the map's zoom function. So I don't think that it has to do with the raretivity ( is there such word? ) of a pokemon...

Edit: Just saw knab's avatar!!!! xD

I think the colors there refer to the type of terrain the path leads through.

if you look at the more rare pokemon in the pokedex and select the area there in you can see 2 differnt colors, blue and red, red are more rare. while blue is common.

try it your self with a rare pokemon you seen, vs a common one like starly
