ROM Hack Pokemon HG/SS SAV data question.

Will I be able to use the same SAV data from the Japanese version of the the game on the English ROM? If not I might as well stop playing

Yes you'll be able to. Im not going to say 100% yes, but i was able to do this both with diamond, pearl and Platinum before the English ROMS came out. So i see no reason why HG/SS will be any different! As long as you rename the .SAV to the exact name of the ROM, there should be no problem at all.

Wrong. The answer is no. The games will have different IDs, which are written into the game. The .sav will not be compatible.

Most likely the saves will be compatible.
