Agreed. Though this means that the game will sell more copies, since the average household has more DSs lying around than it does people. And besides, this isn't the first time they crammed 2 generations on one console.

True. Maybe they'll do the same thing they did with Yellow and put the Gen V special edition on the 3DS.

I still don't understand why they didn't wait and make it for the 3DS. After all, the trend has been to make a new generation of Pokemon for each generation of Nintendo handheld. Could you imagine how much cooler it would be if they made a Fire Blast look like it was coming out of the screen?

I guess the logical explanation is that GameFreak started making this game long before the 3DS was announced to them. I don't think that even second-party developers get new information that early ahead of time.

It would be great on the 3DS though, but that would mean we'd have to wait a lot longer for it, especially since it will take another half year to be released overseas.

Well there's already confirmed development on the 3DS from the Pokemon company, anyway.

I really hope they don't change the names of the games when it's localized, for the sole reason being that I guessed the next gen games would be called black and white.

Yeah, I can understand that. In the least, they seem to be making some graphical improvements on the games, so i have no complaints. I'm just hoping for a better round up of Pokemon vs Gen IV's not-so-great batch (my own opinion).

My speculation: Black and White's third game will be called 'Chrome' or 'Grey', and the crazy 3d perspective will allow this third version to appear on the DS3D as well as the regular DS to bring up sales.

Keep in mind that the camera mod for HGSS was incredibly buggy since the game wasn't designed to be played in that view. Black and White will be specially designed to work with the new view, however.
