Hi! I know that you can trade between the 1&2 gen of Pokemon games but I´v been thinking... In the 1st gen, you can´t make a Pokemon hold an item, but you can in 2nd. But if you trade a Pokemon from the 1st gen to the 2nd they hold an item. So what if, I give, for example, a Scyther a metal coat and then trade it o my Yellow, it won´t evolve, but will it still have the metal coat so if I trade it back to my Crystal, will it evolve??

I remember trading a red gyarados back and forth and it was still red. Also some pokemon came holding items that could not be obtained normally ingame. So in theory it could be possible BUT you can't enter the Time Capsule (is that right?) with "new" pokemon or moves, so the game probably won't let it evolve since it could be traded back again.

You can't trade from gen-1 to gen-2 if the pokemon is holding an item, it won't let you.

Of course you can. Many pokemon traded from the 1st gen came with items (the bird trio and mewtwo is an example), and you could trade them back while still holding the items. I did some trades like this just for pokedex completion.

You sure about this? I do know that pokemon traded from Gen-1 forwards to Gen-2 would come with items (they were generated during the trade as added incentive), but as far as I know holding items meant they couldn't be traded backwards to Gen-1 from 2.
