Hacking Pokemon Diamond Problems

Hi,

While playing Pokemon Diamond, all I have to do is tap the back of the NDS and the game crashes. It does this all the time.

Is this because of the R4DS or the ROM?

Crashes as in it freezes? If it just takes a tap (physical movement somewhere), it's most likely the DS or the R4 or the micro SD losing contact

Does it freeze normally during play? Or only after a slight nudge on the DS? I doubt it is the ROM if it happens like this

After a slight nudge on the DS.

I'll get a different ROM and try it to see if it makes any difference.

If the R4 is loose within the slot, try placing a folded piece of paper in that loose space, to make sure it doesn't move around when tapped. Make sure you don't force it in. This has been recently advised by another member, and it seemed to have worked for the person with the problem.

Oh, definitely. I'll be getting a DSL in a few hours, and I'm just dreading things like this. I'm so paranoid that the R4 would be defective, or the spring would break, or the R4 would come loose in the slot, and so on.

I guess when it comes down to it, unless the R4 is defective, all other problems have some relatively easy solutions. Even if it is defective, I guess I'll be able ro return it.

Yeah, I agree it is an annoying fix, but at least it is A fix.
