On my R4 when I try to run the black rom, it just gives me a white screen :S official 1.18

is there any fix for this yet?

No because the R4's been dead for years. Even Wood isn't supported any more. Just hang on and eventually there'll be another Universal patch.

ds lite acekard 2 akaio 1.7.1 ?
i get no exp and freezes, while also running in green dma mode.

Some who apply the patch have no problems after that. However, some seem to still have problems. Its very strange.

Instructions for EXP Patch (for those that don't know):

1- Download the clean ROM, extract.
2- Download the patch program (http://www.mediafire.com/?g0otw2nyw2m), extract.
3- Open the patch program (RRPATCH)
4- Open the clean ROM.
5- Copy/paste the code below.
6- Click RUN, wait and then click OK.
7- Use the .nds file, not the .nds.bak.
8- Works for me (White, Akaio)

Still looking for black screen fix on AKAIO though.

EDIT: It seems that people are getting mixed reviews on whether or not it works on AKAIO. This is interesting.

so far its working fine for me on ak 2i with latest akaio and that ^ fix
will report if find any bugs.
but probably the ones having problem downloaded a bad rom or something

actually, mine won't work on AK2i, and it's a good ROM cuz it works on EZ flash Vi >.>

no, the patch is only for black.

well...i just patched a clean ROM of black, and it still doesn't work on AK2i with latest AKAIO T_T is it supposed to stop the freezing? or is it a different form of the hex edit?

Works on DesUme 0.9.6 but not on my AK2.1.

er...they do. you need to add the game into infolib.dat and the patch info in extinfo.dat for it to run though. (YSMENU only)

Could you explain that more? I'm using R4 with YSmenu and would like to atleast have the game load

Works PERFECTLY on the M3 DS real.

I patched it with the hex codes, now Im getting exp and no freezing whatsoever :]

i dont undertsand why there are mixed reviews for AKAIO its working perfectly for me it was working fine w/o the patch i just wasnt getting exp but with the patch i am and im upto the trainer school

It seems likely that the mixed responses regarding Acekards and AKAIO is due to different hardware revisions. While Black and White don't function on my Acekard 2i running AKAIO 1.7.1, it does work on my R4 running Wood 1.12.
