I know this might be a stupid question, but what exactly do these enable GBA codes do?

This question been answered a million times already.

Back in the day when you playing the games on the ds extra Pokémon would spawn in certain routes if you had the games inserted in the gameboy slot. That’s what this code does.

I’m having an issue with the chain won’t break code for Pearl v1.1.3 my chain will break after around 15 every time with even doing the chain regularly (4 patches away 93%) after catch and it still breaks. Idk if the code stopped working or am I not supposed to catch the pokemon. I’m attempting to catch 9 Shiny Stantlers with radar and can’t chain after 15.

Zero improvements to the game itself lol. This 1.1.3 was same as 1.1.2 just there to patch the exploits people find.

Pretty much exactly what I expected, and they have the nerve to call the update "To improve gameplay", how shady is that. Where is the GTS? Where is ANYTHING new and exciting to the game, any events maybe? Ohhh instead gotta patch things people enjoyed, can't have fun in 2021, nonono...

Are you on switch or emu?
Are the chain cheats near the top or bottom of your code list? If they're down low, try moving them to the top.
Have you tried making the chain codes the only cheats in the file?

thats because chaining is hardcoded to only go up to 5iv but i have a 6iv wild encounter code in both damond and pearl cheat lists you turn them on and press right on d pad then all pokemon you find will be 6 iv. press Left dpad to turn it off
