Homebrew pokemon black

OKay so basically im playing pokemon black on the No$ gba/ds emulator and I have the save code, crash code, and another start code?? Im not entirely sure what to call all three. But I can save, and seems as if Im going through the game wihthout having any crash issues;however, I Have one more problem that really irks me now -_-. sometimes when i start battles, I cannot choose any options. Like...to attack, items, pokemon....etc...yeah those. It only happens sometimes. but when it does, the only option I have for now is to restart...which prevents me from making any progress. are there any codes from stopping this???? plz and thankyou.
