Hacking Pokemon Black/White - Which firmware/AP patch?

Ok so I am about to finish SS, and I'm going to play through Black/White next, but I am unsure as to which firmware I should be using (I have an M3 DS real), and which AP patch: I've heard the Rudolphs is the best (http://gbatemp.net/topic/217811-rudolphs-universal-childs-play-patch/) note that I am intending on playing the European or US versions.

Download "DS-Scene Rom Tool" and install it. Then.....
1) Open the Program
2) Click the little box, near the top on the right hand side, and point to the rom when the new menu opens
3) Go to the fourth tab that runs along the top edge of the program
4) It will be checked, but make sure the box that says "apply patch" is darkened
5) Click on "export" and point in to your micro sd card and the patch will automatically be applied.
6) Done! Go ahead and play!
That tool is the best for patches.....

If you are using an M3DS Real, I believe this is the firmware you will want to use, as it's the only one I'm aware of that works on the M3DS Real and continues to receive updates. You do not need to patch your ROMs like jimmyemunoz says.

To play Pokemon Black/White, no; just the firmware will suffice. However, it is recommended that you always use the latest DAT so that newer games work.
