I tried to, but it would just have a blackwhite screen and nothing else after that.

Patch mode worked for a bit, but when walking around the town with my rival it just froze.

what. From the colors/sprites/animations you should be able to figure out which it is...and if you don't look on Bulbapedia, and look for the japanese names of whatever it is
