Hacking Pokemon Black 2

Hi, i am trying to get Pokemon Black 2 to work on my dsi using my r4i3ds. it gives me an error code -4 when i try to load the game. This is the r4 i have.

looks like your r4i3ds firmware has not been updated for over a year so thats why it does not work with black 2. you will most likely need to patch your rom for it to work on your r4i3ds or try to find alternative firmware for it

try to see if this one has the firmware you need

I am pretty sure the rom i got is a good rip as i have run it in DeSmuME and it plays fine.

I got my r4 about 3 years ago and i haven't ever updated it. How would i update the firmware and what is this multi cart update? sorry if this is a noob question i have never updated my r4 before

the firmware is the files that you put on the memory card, its basically the cards OS.
copy all of the files that are on you memory card to your pc.
then try using the firmware that has r4 in the folders name.
if any of them boots when you put you memory card back in to the cart and into the ds try copying to game back on to it and see if it works

there is 5 folders that have r4 in the name

I have managed to update my r4 using the files on this website but i still get an error, it looks like this

load rom errcode=-4
Please reset system
