dwedit said he won't update the source for nesDS. loopy dropped the project when he released the source. so don't hope to hard.... but dwedit did say he would consider porting pocketnes to ds (again) when he completes the app to a place he is VERY happy with it.

Actually, dwedit has already started porting PocketNES to the DS.

Edit: Keep in mind that he started porting Goomba Color to the DS as well, and that didn't seem to end up going anywhere except for a test build with no sound and no filesystem access, so don't get too excited just yet.

The original test release did support sound, but it was very scratchy. He also did make another release with filesystem support, though the sound is still scratchy. Good to look into at least, but your point remains. I'm hoping he gets farther with this one than he did with Goomba Color DS.
