Gaming PLZ help r4 card problem

When I turn my ds on it comes on to the first opening screen where you have to touch it then streight away goes black and says Culden't find_DS_MENU.DAT please help

Download R4 Wood and follow the instructions to install it onto your MicroSD.

Think he needs to format his SD card, and get a clean kernel from the r4 site, then install Wood on top of the kernel.

then again, the r4 could not be an original one.
