Hey guys, I posted a thread a few days ago, and that worked, but I have another issue.

I updated to Wii 4.2, and re-hacked my Wii, so it was at the state pre-4.2. However, when I entered certain games into my Wii, I would click play and the screen would just go blank. I put all the Homebrew amenities on my SD card, and uninstalled all Homebrew applications, tried the games again, and they still didn't work. Does anybody know what the problem is and, more preferably, how to fix it? thanks.

I used this one. I followed every step exactly right, and I did not seem to run into any trouble. But now, games like Tomb Raider Anniversary won't even load. It would really help if I knew what the problem was..

I uninstalled every hack-related program on my wii, and the games still won't work..

It means you don't have the IOS that the game wants. Can't say which it is for that game, but heck, it shouldn't be too hard to find out.

I'm still having trouble...

Lol.

I have already tried the update. I guess i'll do my best to follow the sticky, although it is a bit scattered.

I know you guys don't care, but I'll post updates soon

I don't have bootmii installed at all, or any other hacking components. My wii is completely hack-free at the moment.

Run the HackMii Installer, and post the "installer.log" file that is generated on the root of your SD card. That may help someone on here to understand what the problem is.

Also, install BootMii as boot2 if possible. If you can't install it as boot2, install it as an IOS. After that, make a NAND backup, and save that, along with the "keys.bin" file that BootMii will generate for you.

I installed bootmii as boot2, made a nand backup, saved it somewhere else, and everything worked fine

That still doesn't help me with my non-working games though... are there specific steps to this, too?

What games are they?

The one, in particular, is Tomb Raider: Anniversary

, but there are some others that I don't really care about at the moment.

Ask a moderator to change your topic title. Quoting another dude : You won't get much attention to it with the way it is. try to be a bit more descriptive in your topic title. Sorry i cannot help you more. Keep cool & Good luck.

Also, do you have an actual disc of the game(s) in question, and not just burnt discs, or anything else? If so, run them through the latest version of GeckoOS, and see if it needs to install any IOS versions for them. If so, let GeckoOS install those.

You could also try GeckoOS 1.07b, and see if it works through there without installing anything. This still won't let you run them through the Disc Channel, though.

I apologize for being anxious. I shall be patient.

Yes, I have legitimate copies for all of my games. I will try GeckoOS

You want me to post the installer.log? i'll try, i guess

I'll try to answer these questions

I am trying to load the game regularly through no program. I am not one to go this deep into hacking usually, so I am not sure what a cIOS version is. I followed every single step the sticky said, if that helps. My Wii is about 2.5 years old. Never a single problem. No modchip. Yes, the majority of the other discs work.

When I insert the disc, i click the disc channel, the intro goes, i hit start, then... nothing. The wii remote disconnects, a blank screen is put up, and the power/reset button doesn't work. I need to unplug it from the back to reset the wii.

btw, tomb raider doesnt suck

. Im actually trying to replay some games, bringing me here.

I hope this information will suffice. let me know if you need more, because ill be on here.

EDIT: Ok, obviously the installer.log didn't post. I'm not sure exactly how you guys are going to see it, or what good it will do for you?
