Hacking Please Help with Confusion

I have New Nintendo 3DXL with 11.6.0 firmware in it. I want to download and play ROMS in it but for that it needs to be homebrewed?

I am very confused. Where to start? Shall I buy a flashcart with ntrboot in it? Or try something called hardmod? Do not know where to start and what to do. Please help

Flashcart and hardmod are not required if you follow the guide posted above.

If you follow the guide correctly, find the cia format 'roms', and install them as described in the guide, yes.

Sorry but NTRBoot method says REQUIRES FLASHCART. Shall I go for the method on the right which says bootstrap hardmod as I don't have a flashcart

Upgrade to 11.9 and use the seedminer method.
