i didn't really care... i use my laptop pluged in alot of times so i figure it'll be fine for the DS too... plus i think it'll save the batery life a bit because you're not using it...


My laptop is a desktop replacement. It's probably been off the plug for two hours total since I've owned it. Obviously this is not an issue.
 
Once the battery is fully charged, the DS will run off AC power, until you close the lid or turn it off, in which case, you have to reconnect the charger to get it to do that again.

The batteries in current technology, you dont have to worry about over charging batteries or memory issues with batteries. You can use and abuse a batter any time you want now and it should run pretty much the same as you bought it. we are in a battery renisance era.
