Hi: can we download and play the 3DS games that are on Tinfoil? Like Pokemon X and Y, Black and White, or Detective Pikachu for example?

What is the best 3ds emulator for the Switch? I see a mention of donating to the dev for a better "beta" version or using a retroarch core that has questionable quality.
There's only one option for the switch's hos (hos stands for horizon operating system, the os for the switch) thats the citra retroarch core. If you were to setup android or Linux (cant remember which ones were setup/made for the switch) you could run citra that way without having to use the retroarch core. Results will also vary.

But atm, hos only has the retroarch core. But supposedly it's gonna come out of "beta" soon

The old beta core Was already pretty good . 80 % of the time I was getting fullspeed on zelda oot ( light overclock in retroarch). I am looking forward to the new Release

update on this? I want to buy a modded switch also to play 3Ds games. Is it worth it? Looking to play acnl specifically. can someone talk on their experience playing that game?
1. Install Switchroot Android 15
2. Download Azahar from the Google Play Store
3. ???
4. Profit

In all seriousness, Android works best for all the 'fringe cases' that the Switch 1 can actually run (see also: Gamecube) from literally months of testing that i have done. HOS based Apps and even Lakka do not compare to it for emulating the 'higher end' systems. Forget anything newer than the Gamecube on a Switch 1 - it cant handle it. I saw someone mention Wii games running on it reasonably well, but i havent been able to replicate that on Android.

Also a heads up that you wont be able to store 3DS games bigger than 4GB on a Fat32 formatted SD card. You can convert the format to make them fit though.

Erista V1 used for all test cases for whatever that is worth.

You can do Wii U. Erista is weakest but it still can do pretty well. Check community compat list above.
