so if PKSM says that the pokemon would pass, that should allow it to go through the pokebank/pokemon home, yeah?

or if I force the pokemon to spawn in the grass and catch it that way that should be fine, yeah?

Yes for the first one.
No for the second one. You have to have it so its the correct type of pokemon from the correct location from the correct game title. You cannot just force some random pokemon from the grass.
