Hacking PKGJ - question how to install updates&dlc

Hi, I've testing PKGJ (v0.28) and have problem with installing game updates probably with dlc will be the same. Games are installing well, but I am not able to install updates - there is patch folder that was stated that PKGJ is installing when on the first run and some data is here. I've tested refreshing the live area but update icon is still present - I do not wanna get updates from live area because it may be risky.

Its an issue on the nopaystation end. I just update through the live area, so far its been fine. But I also use a dummy psn account.

yeah, something seems to be wrong with the update portion. for me (at least), downloading an update does cause the blue ball to turn white like it's installed. however, you can check in the patch folder to see if that content has been installed. that folder is on the root of ux0.

On patch folder there is some folders with data, but whe I am opening games that have update icon nothing is installing

Found clue https://github.com/blastrock/pkgj/issues/14 So as dev stated game will update, but updates always will be blue after download and also update icon always is present - it as he stated just reinstall update

not sure. I noticed that deleting those patch folders doesn't in turn cause the update to be found, so something else must be done other than just the patch folder being downloaded. I encountered this yesterday. if it weren't for all the damn restrictions with the system, a lot of these problems wouldn't happen. I can't imagine the frustrations of being legit.

I'm not sure if patches are recorded in the app.db. with one of my systems, I had to redownload every patch; the other, only one patch had to be redownloaded. I'm assuming the appcont might be in the app.db. with that being said, pkgj may be looking at the app.db rather than what's actually on the system, so it may not be able to detect patches if they're not in the app.db. that's my theory anyway.

this is more of a pkgj issue, since NPS Browser and PKGj are the clients and NPS is the database
