This has been happening for about a week now, but in the middle of a game, yes it was a good dump, the game will freeze. Then when I restart my ds it doesn't recognize there is a card in slot 1. I have to eject and replace it for it to work again.

Is there anything I can do?

well, clean the contacts of the card, and blow inside your ds slot and try it

Yah clean the contacts and wedge a bit of paper between the R4 and the Nintendo DS slot.

Another idea would be to put some tape on the top-side of the R4 opposite the contacts so it presses down on the contacts a little more. Tape would be more permanent than a piece of paper.

Yeah, using tape is a good idea!

I have had the same problem off and on for the past 3 months.. and I was skeptical about the usefulness of the tapes.. But they really do work.. I tape the r4 cartridge just opposite the contacts.
