No matter how much I love Nintendo, I still think this will not cut it in order to sell WiiU consoles.

You are misquoting Reggie. He said in one interview, quite distinctly that Launch Window is Launch + 3-4 months. Being in the Launch Window does not mean it won't be a Launch title.

When I said rehashing games I mean't that they are just yet another version (virtually identical tbh) of an existing title: pikmin, nsmb, etc... TBH surprised Mariokart U wasn't announced.

I realise they are nintendo trademark titles, blah blah blah, but I cant help but feel they are uninspired and not really taking anything to the next level.... just doing it again... new levels and shiny gfx.... wow...zzz

Calm down, it's just his opinion. And it's fair enough. e.g. The Zelda series is my favourite game series of all time but it generally follows the exact formula and there's no huge changes to the gameplay between games, just different worlds. To me that makes the series awesome, but to others that makes it a generic rehash, and that's their opinion, purely subjective, and a fair enough conclusion to reach.

And yes, Nintendo invented everything good about that controller, the bumpers, the analogue stick, the ABXY, and Microsoft ripped it all off of Nintendo, but credit where credit's due: anyone can legitimately see that they ripped off the ergonomic design from Microsoft.

And you need to chill out too. If someone says "Mass Effect sucks", that doesn't mean that the game literally has a vacuum mechanism on it, it means that in his opinion, it's not a good game. People omit the phrase "In my opinion" all the time for ease.

You wouldn't say, "In my opinion, ice cream is delicious", you'd just say "ice cream is delicious", but that's still an affirmative clause. It's still a definitive statement, its just left to you, the interpreter, to have the intelligence to realise what is opinion and what is fact. If you can't distinguish between what is subjective, and hence opinion, "That controller is a rip off", and fact, "That controller has 2 analogue sticks", then that's a fault of your own intelligence, and not him.

It is my opinion that the pro wiiu controllers are a rip off of the existing 360 controller.

I have grown up on nintendo from the GB, NES, SNES, 64, GC to the Wii. I just feel disappointed by nintendos offerings this year.

On the contrary, even if he said that it was his opinion, it wouldn't be, because that's not an opinion. An opinion is how one feels about something, and it can almost never be equated to fact, what he stated, however, was conjecture, not opinion.
