i am using the second option but it seems it wont fit with the metal cover. i will try again tonight...
Use the second option if you don't want to cut the shield. Just remember to isolate well the bottom and the sides (as well as the top, obviously) of the RP2040 with Kapton tape.

Can confirm that when correctly positioned, it's a perfect pocket for the RP2040-zero board.

@lightninjay consider adding RP2040-zero board position for the next review of the guide if you wish.

Good morning lads.
If I extract the already programmed rp2040 chip from a working switch, and install it on another new switch, do I have to reset the chip before installing it?
Then, if I wanted to put a new chip on the donor console, would I have to do any special procedures?
Also, would the donor console boot to ofw without the chip?
Thank you.

So, just to make sure you don't get it wrong.
Can I take the rp2040 chip from a WORKING console and install it without reprogramming it?
Will the donor console work in OFW?
Will I be able to install a new rp2p40 chip (I'm waiting for them to arrive) without danger?

We are talking about 2.65, here I find only 2.64.
I also read that there are no problems on 16.02, can I proceed or is it better to wait?

ok, attendo conferma prima di procedere.
Yes you could. By my experience when using picofly in the beginning, the firmware seems resetting quite a lot, when some error happened. So i quite confident it will reset the chip.

The technique used, i believe its glitch on voltage. By shorting the VDD to ground at some instruction (SD mosfet controlled by uC), it will make the tegra behaviour unexpectedly, for example change the program counter (i still not yet understand clearly what behaviour is exploited).

Not quite sure.
I assuming the uC injecting code on eMMC (maybe boot0) such as SDLoader. So after glitch it could load the payload.bin on the sdcard. I still learning the source code, but the euphoria stopping me to investigate further. I believe the boot will go to OFW but theres probability that something happened in the injection which make the boot doesn't work.

I think so.

ok, I await confirmation before proceeding.

yes, it resets automatically when placed into different console

Will the donor console work in OFW?
sure, if everything done properly

of course

yes, you can proceed

So there is no github updated section to receive updated files?
Should we go through this post?

Note: I also got confirmation that my OFW startup problems of the switches I modified in the past were caused by picofly FW 2.61, my doubts have been solved :-)

Even if I leave it unchipped (I'm waiting for delivery in the next few days) can I start it in OFW?
