Gaming physical and digital copies and dlc question

If I get a physical copy of a game, and I already own a digital copy of a game and DLC I paid for, can I redownload the DLC I paid for with the digital copy for free?

wasn't the DLC purchased specifically to be used with the digital copy of the game? I don't get how getting the physical copy has anything to do with it.

not sure why I'm doing this, but digital and physical copies are compatible with each other (same title id), so dlc will work with both. I know this first hand.

it depends like if it is gold edition where dlcs are already included.
