LifeSigns (nothing related to ace attorney)
    Jake Hunter (no, it sucks)
Hotel Dusk (pretty nice, should try it)
Broken Sword (nothing related to court but its really a gud detective/investigation game)

The genre you're looking for is called "Visual Novel". I think they're really underrated, because since people don't like to read, they tend to overlook them. The way I see it, it's a nice break from RPGs, since we've been getting those a lot during the past few years.

2 games that hasn't been mentioned yet but are pretty good, are:

    Time Hollow
Trace Memory (aka Another Code if you live in the PAL or JP area).

Hotel Dusk is a MUST if you want a good story. It takes off rather quickly, so you'll get sucked in almost as soon as you start playing.
