I just thought of an idea that could be good, but not sure how hard it would be to implement.

What about an option to take a screenshot of the game? and it saves the .png file in the previews folder.

Also any chance to be able to have easier access to edit the skins, via a windows port?
I have some good idea's and designs that I wanted to try out for the emu.

can you enable a button combination to trigger a "Test" button, it is so we can adjust difficulty on certain arcade games, (sega system 16/32) etc.

We currently can do: (+/-) + (X) = "SERVICE SWITCH"

But for certain arcade games we need both a "Service and "Test" button.

For e.g I loaded up "Shinobi" (one of my favourite games ever), and I cant lower the difficulty, without both a "Test" and a "service" button.
Its the same with "Shadow Dancer" and probably other sega games, we need that extra button to trigger it.

I can get to config menu, but I cant seem to get into the"service" option to lower the difficulty.

Also is their a way to stop all the games default to "hard" difficulty?
The reason is as some arcade games dont actually have a service menu, they are adjusted via dip switches.

sorry to be a pain if this is already answered somewhere but I couldn’t find it.
How do you play spectrum roms.
I tried chuckle egg after renaming my .z80 file to spec_chuckegg.z80 then creating a zip of it and placing in roms/spectrum folder but the emulator does not find the file.
thanks in advance

Googling 4 seconds. Read the attention part. http://docs.libretro.com/library/fuse/

Also, maybe try not zipping the file, .z80 is a supported extension.
I’m talking about how to set up pemu to run spectrum roms. I’m fine with retroarch and fuse core
I’ve already tried just using a file called spec_chuckegg.z80 and also placed everything in a spectrum folder under the pfba folder but no good.

Oops. :)

So let me snark more then. :)

Maybe I'm missing something obscure, but pFBA doesnt support Spectrum.

But, but all the agita about snark...
I mean I also can put zipped romfiles in folders for days, but.

10 seconds this time.

Why do you keep posting lies? It doesn’t help anybody.

See here for the proof of spectrum support:

notimp's responses just confuse me and are completely useless in answering my query.
No matter, I'll stick with retroarch for now as I note quite a few speccy games don't seem to be supported by pemu/pfba in any case.
I was just interested in how they ran under pfba as I quite like the interface of that emulator.

I think 99,9% of FBA ROMs are supported in pFBA (as in the retroarch port).
Else I'm not sure of the future of pFBA with capcom fba licencing thing (which seems really weird to me).

I haven’t exhaustively tried every game that’s listed but I’ve tried a lot and it’s only killer instinct and one nba game that hasn’t worked and to be fair killer instinct wasn’t a shock

Great work btw, I love the emulator

Presumably nothing changes with regards to its existing licence. It sounds like the dev just used a secondary licence with Capcom, much to the chargrin of many other FB Alpha devs.

Good afternoon.
How do I get the keyboard for the spectrum emulator to be able to press the numbers, to play renegade?

@notimp: Why do you keep insisting posting about your wrong information? Please verify the information yourself, on your own Switch, before posting wrong information here that you find somewhere in 2 minutes using google.

Also, no list of support (in FBA) on the NX Spectrum emugen Wiki:
http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/ZX_Spectrum_Line

How do I verify a github changelog on my switch? Also I dont own any spectrum games.
Please check my sources. Please also check that I wrote that I was not aware of anything that made the Spectrum fba compatible.
I wrote as much and nothing else.
