He wrote back. By the way, how (other than the risk of buying a fake) does the R4 "suck ass"? Seems to me it can do everything any other Slot-1 loader can do.

No SDHC support - that is what turned me against it considering I paid so much for an 8 gb MicroSD. Perhaps I'm overreacting but it's become such a poor representation of what is actually out there...

In addition, you can get other cards that are much better (such as the Acekard 2) for the same price. The R4 was great in 2006 when I got one, but it hasn't aged well.

Ahhh, yea I forgot about that. My 2GB microSD card seemed like so much when I first got it, but it is quite often full these days.

And to respond to my own question, I guess you can't boot GBA games with the R4 either, if you're into that sort of thing
