For me controller works with normal bios in Crash 1 Pal. Do you have dualshock or analog controller enabled in options maybe? Some games only take standard controller and I know Crash 1 is one of those games.

Okay, now crash is working right.
Can you try Ape Escape?
For Ape Escape pal you need the .sbi file to get past the title screen. Don't know what your issue with the game is. Obviously to run Ape Escape you need to set dualshock controller. I know this game works, though fps isn't the best.

The games i have working are Sara Getchu(Ape Escape), Grandia, Silhouette Mirage, and Bust A Groove, I'm trying out Medievil when i'm back from my job at a retro game store in Shibuya, since i'm feeling in a nice mood i'll let people ask if a certain game works and if i got it at home in my box of playstation games i'll let you all know. Happy holidays everyone

Natsumi signing off for now ^-^

Since PCSX seems to be doing well with updates, I’m gonna have to test the games I tried before. Some of the ones I tried almost played perfectly. I’ll get to some of them after work today.

i don’t see how this newer version of the emu is full speed bc this isn’t full speed at all

i’m on a new 3ds xl

I've been playing with this on a retropie for a while. Every game I tried has worked, even ones with trainers.

Resident Evil 2 Dual Shock (U) CD1 (Leon) works fine with normal framerate.
Metal Gear Solid (U) runs somewhat sluggish but is kinda playable with frameskip set to 1
Mega Man X5 (U) runs slow as hell and given the action nature of the game, it's really unplayable.
Klonoa - Door to Phantomille (U): Slow, even with frameskip.
Chrono Cross (U): roughly 45~50 FPS, playable but not a good experience on battles.

RetroArch 1,8.3

no vertical sync / nov-sync for video.
audio > resampler > audio resampler = nearest

frame throttle helps boost performance with 3D games sometimes
2D games benefit rarley from it, I guess. Standard is turned off (0.0x)

settings > frame throttle > maxiumum run speed = 1.0x or 2.0

quick menu > frame skip = 1
" > enable dithering = off / on (depending on game)
" > sound reverb = off
" > sound interpolation = off

Update: :!: BIN files only list. increase performance dramatically by converting BIN files into PSP's .PBP format :!:

very early impressions on most of the games / minimal playtime

almost all games have certain things in common: pre rendered video cut scenes are butchered, voices causes often huge frame dips and cause stuttering. A few games have clear voices and don't drop in frames because of it?!

3D games (BIN files)

Breath of Fire IV US = 59 FPS (drops in some cut scenes) - (so far) really playable
Pac Man World (US) = 39 FPS (frame throttle 2.0x > 59 FPS) - playable / really playable with frame throttle
Front Mission 3 US = 59 FPS really playable
Xenogears CD1 US = 59 FPS = very playable, small frame drops in 3D battle encounters
Gex 3 US = 39 ish FPS = unplayable / frame throttle 2.0x / 3.0x in game 59 FPS = playable

3D games / notable mentions / mixed results (BIN files)

Disney's Hercules (US) = playable - however butchered voices causes in game frame drops
Looney Tunes Sheep Raider (US) = 39 FPS - unplayable (not tested with frame throttle)
Tail Concerto (US) = 39 FPS and below, audio stuttering, huge drops
Mega Man Legends (US) = 30-39 FPS unplayable
Pepsi Man (JP) = 40-50 FPS playable with frame throttle. However a lackluster experience over all
Threads of Fate (US) = 30-45 FPS (ft 2.0x) somewhat playable, but not worth it

2D games - full speed / very playable (mostly 59 FPS) (BIN files)
my recommendations, early impressions so far

Adventures of Lomax (platformer)
Alunda 1 (US)
Brave Prove (JP) (english patched) (action adventure)
Cotten Original (JP) (shmup)
Castlevania Chronicle - Akumajou Dracula (JP)
Cyberbots - Full Metal Madness (JP) (fighting game)
The Adventure of Little Ralph (JP) (action, platformer)

Gear Fighter Dendoh (JP) (beat em up)
Gex 1 (US)
Harmfull Park (JP) (shmup)
Hermie Hopperhead - Scrap Panic (JP) (platformer)

Mad Stalker - Full Metal Force (JP) (beat emp up)
Mega Man 8 (US)
Panzer Bandit (JP) (beat em up)
Punky Skunk (US) (platformer)
Nekketsu Oyaku (JP) (english patched) (beat em up)
Wolf Fang (JP) (shmup)

2D games / notable mentions / mixed results (BIN files)
(needs more testing with frame throttle settings)

Valkyrie Profile (US) (partial 3D encouters) clear voices, smooth intro, however FPS drops in 3D battles & choppy town screen transitions = playable
Tales of Phantasia (JP) (english patched) stuttering voices, needs more testing, battles not tested = probably playable
Super Robot Taisen Alpha Gaiden (JP) (strategy) (english patched) heavy on voices, stuttering, frame dips = playable

Mega Man X4 (US) 39 FPS*ish (from memory) unplayable
SpongeBob SquarePants - SuperSponge (EU) (heavy on voices, stuttering, frame dips) unplayable
Tear Ring Saga (JP) (strategy) (english patched) glitched sprites
Tales of Destiney (US) slightly glitched text boxes

Rhapsody - A Musical Adventure (US) = crashes in "new game" options
GeGeGe no Kitarou - Gyakushuu! Youma Daikessen (JP) (platformer) = long in game intro, heavy on voices, heavy stuttering

Gunners Heaven (JP) (bin) = glitches, all sprites are missing, only background = unplayable
Simple Characters 2000 Series Vol.13 - Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W - The Battle (JP) = unplayable, very low FPS for a 2D only game
Community Prom (2D action adventure, RPG) - crashes / needs more testing

Sexy Parodius - unplayable
Gradius Gaiden - unplayable
Twin Bee - unplayable

some updates:

2D

GeGeGe no Kitarou - Gyakushuu! Youma Daikessen (JP) (platformer) = 59 FPS, very playable (skip all voices and in game cut scenes with "select")
Discworld II (US) (adventure) (eboot) almost flawless, cut scenes, voices are smooth = very playable
Tales of Phantasia (JP) (eboot) (english patched) clean voices, runs very well

3D

Jersy Devil (US) (platormer) (bin) surprisingly very playable

RayStorm (US) (shmup) very playable 59 FPS [drops frames depending how is going on the screen 45-59 FPS, frame throttle 2.0x helps with lower end FPS, however still performing surprisingly smooth and very playable considering it's 3D SHMUP]

Did anyone suceed in running the title "X2 (E) [SLES-00455]" or jp version "X2 – No Relief (JP) [SLPS-00766]" ?
When I launch the game I did not go further than the video introduction.

Unfortunately this threat / first post is not maintained that well

:!: PCSX ReARMed for 3DS right now works best with ".pbp" (PlayStation Portable "eboot.PBP" files) :!:

Convert your PS1 backups (BIN files) with  PSX2PSP into the .PBP (compressed) format, to increases comparability and prevent audio & video stuttering. This can cause huge frame drops and can make a game unplayable or crash in rare cases entirely.

P.S. Ofiicial PS3 / PSP (eboot.pbp) PlayStation Network (PSN) files won't work.

Attempted to convert and play three games (Clocktower, Intelligent Qube, Biohazard directors cut). None worked. One caused an error forcing reboot the other two kicked it back to the main menu.
