No.Hi
Is it possible to password protect the boot of the Swithc like it was possible with Luma3DS?
Thanks
That does sound nice, but it would be like the iphone lock thing. People would forget they password, emails change, etc and then they are locked out of all access until Nintendo fixes the issue for them like apple does. Don't think Nintendo wants to go that route. Just my thought tho.I'm disappointed in the Switch's security measures for keeping people off your Switch. We should just be able to set a password on our Nintendo account from our phone, and have it protect our logged-in Switches from unauthorized use. (i.e. Switch gets stolen)
It should be impossible for a thief to use the Switch at all, initialize the console, etc without the owner's unlock.
That's completely ridiculous. You want your data secure. You're not giving out your logins. What's the difference?@Jayro
Let the thief play some nice Nintendo games for a while, they're ppl too, be some kind, please!
Btw, I personally thinks that any lock measure in electronic entertainment devices is miserable and must be destroyed. Fun for all!
My 3DS says that too if it's used without the SD card in it. (I put the splash image on sysnand, with my phone number, serial number, and my real legal name.)That's completely ridiculous. You want your data secure. You're not giving out your logins. What's the difference?
Having a lock would be truly useful. My 3ds says "STOLEN. please contact" with my phone number and the console serial number.
Turning the Switch off in AutoRCM is kinda like a lock. Most people would never get it going. Won't stop your kids though. Or anyone else who knows how to inject a payload. A lock would need some sort of persistent hack. Otherwise i just reboot and inject a non locked payload.
Yup. Mine does it with and without SD. Good luck pawning it without some effort. And thieves usually hate effort. My 3DS says that too if it's used without the SD card in it. (I put the splash image on sysnand, with my phone number, serial number, and my real legal name.)
