Is it possible to replace the STM32 with a new chip, not from a donor board?
Reading online, it seems these chips need to be flashed.
Now, the Nintendo firmware is not available to the public - so how could you flash it?
I suppose it may be possible to read the firmware from another STM32 - unless read protection is enabled on this chip.
Has anyone here performed this process before? I'd love to hear about someone's first hand experience.
Thanks

This chip only seems to be present in the Lite so not much information is available for it.
The STM32 is a simple microcontroller and a brand new one from Mouser/Ali/Amazon needs some firmware to run.
I read some forum posts that people replaced this chip with one from a donor board but not a new one.
You should be able to connect a ST-Link cable but it might have read out protection enabled.
But nobody has tried it so far.
