This may be a somewhat stupid question, but I am kinda new to this.

If I use the USB loader, I have to use a special file system right? But is it possible to have 2 partitions on the HDD, one with the special file system and one with my regular, Windows file system? I ask this because I only have one external HDD right now and it seems like a waste to use all that space just for my Wii.

If it is possible, how do I do that?

Yes. Create two or more partitions on your external hdd. Make sure to back up your content if you are deleting or modifying your partition.

Try using programs like Norton Partition Magic or EASEUS Partition Master 3.5

When I install the USB loader on my Wii it will change the partition automatically right? Will I be able to choose which partition it will install on?

Try using a program like WBFSManager

Code:
http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/

That'll let you choose which partition to format while it's plugged into your PC.
