I've got a PSP 6.35 PRO 200X Series with a TA-088v2 motherboard.

I want to downgrade it to run proper custom firmware, but I can't buy a pandora battery (hacking it without telling dad)

So is there an easy way to make one that doesn't involve pulling it apart?

Use hellcats recovery flasher to flash the battery to pandora then once you've installe cfw just flash it back to normal. That's what I did on my 2000

I'm pretty sure 2000's can't have their batteries pandora'd.

I did it with my psp 2000. Depends on the motherboard version. I downgrded from 6.35 to 5.00 then went to gen D3 so yeah, they can make pandoraas...

Yes, run hellcat's recovery flasher and choose to make a pandora battery from the main menu, then you can follow the pandora/mms sticky to hack it.

Once it's a pandora you can't turn on the PSP normally with the battery in, you'll need to keep it on the charger until after you're done and can run homebrew to turn the battery back to normal.

It makes a difference because PSP 2000's started at TA-085 so you've essentially got a Frankensteined PSP...or made a typo and actually cannot make a Pandora via softmod.
