You can keep trying to downgrade emunand, but I'm 99% sure it'll always fail at 8F02. Since you're downgrading, you'll lose emunand anyways so just try updating emunand and go for it. If you really are worried, backup emunand. It means if you want to chicken out, use the home button.

Thanks, I restored an EmuNANDTool backup of 9.2 (officially updated in a long chain), and guess what? Sysupdater installs more cias than it did when running from 4.1 up to the point of the crash, and it installed 8F02 without issue and kept going until the end, including NATIVE_FIRM. So for o3DS it's fine to be on 4.x SysNAND, just make sure you update EmuNAND to 9.2

Thanks, I restored an EmuNANDTool backup of 9.2 (officially updated in a long chain), and guess what? Sysupdater installs more cias than it did when running from 4.1 up to the point of the crash, and it installed 8F02 without issue and kept going (it's still going atm).

The only reason not to do it would be the announcement of an upcoming CFW that is able to boot a 2.1 EmuNAND (not to do anything useful with it, but just to make sure it's all in order and not bricked).

Apparently, whenever he changes any little part of the github, the sha-256 changes. Im guessing he hasnt updated the sha-256. Just do what @Just Passing By said and download the pack twice and compare the sha-256 of those two

Then you're fine. It just means the site hasn't been updated. If you're really worried than wait, but right now you should have no trouble.

from my experience, your 3ds should just reboot on its own if it succeeded
