Gaming original ds top screen shaking

when i turn my ds on today the top screen picture is shaking up and down is there anything i can try to fix this problem without opening the ds up

and if i did open what would i need to do im thinking just removing the screen ribbon cable and cleaning it but im not sure

Sounds like you need a new screen. Lucky for you, they're cheap on eBay, if it's available in your country tha is.

i really don't want to replace the screen as i already have a 2x ds lite and a dsi and 3ds and 2ds

in the back inside the battery cover there are 2 round things, that you can rotate with a screwdriver, IIRC they are called VR1 or VL1 something like that..
you can try to tune it..
just be carefull, too much for a side and the screen can kaput

thanks for that but all it seems to do is change brightness
