Hacking Ordering an R4

Some stores I checked yesterday:

gamersection.ca (Canada)
45 + 15 = $60 FedEx

gameyeeeah.com (China)
40 + 20 = $60 DHL
40 + 5 = $45 Chinese post office (whatever that is) -> USPS

winsunx.com (China)
33 + 18 = $51 DHL

Gamersection is probably going to be the fastest/safest of all 3 since it's nearer. When I order things from China/HK it usually takes 2+ weeks to California when it goes through USPS. DHL will probably be faster.

Well having looked at the major sources, i have come up with this chart which might help some people decide:

I will probably be sourcing mine from mod-chip or cheapmod as both have UK stock and delivery will be within 1 or 2 days for UK

International shipping may depend on your country and as an example, i have included shipping cost to US for the EU store - shop.01media.com.

If delivery speed is not a priority, it is clear that gameyeeeah is cheapest, although divineo.cn is not far behind

because Speed is the main priority for me, after price.

Also stupid question.. how do you choose the express shipping in winsunx.com? on their shipping page it says they have 2 options, the really slow one and the express one. But i'm not sure how to choose it, or is it automatic?

Yeah, that's what made me choose them to go with. US based, so it makes sense that they've got low shipping. And DHL owns anyway. They've always delivered my shit fast (buying and selling).

EDIT: Just ordered with ground shipping (TX to GA is only 2 days anyway). Totaled $51.90 and is expected to ship on the 2nd due to the holidays. According to their records, I ordered a PS2 modchip from them back in '04 and iirc, I had no problems. So, I hope all goes well with this.

http://www.modchipstore.com has R4 in stock and say they are in US. they sold me a dsx that shipped from Texas and got to Ohio very fast. I was pretty happy with them.

(Too bad the DSX I got was the non-working 4th batch that the DSX team are fantically trying to get working now by re-coding their cart's circuitry.)

newegg is a reliable site. They are probably the best place to buy flash media online. They also have great customer service.

Just ordered a 1GB Kingston Micro SD today from newegg.com and I'm set to recieve it Thursday with 4.99 shipping. Not bad and cheaper than any of the retail outlets in my area by far.
