You should get Orange Box. Although you have never played Half Life before, Half Life 2 and its sequels explains the story adequately. You can also look up more information on wikipedia, so understanding the rather deep story isn't going to be a very big issue

As for Team Fortress 2, its just plain fun. Prior experience to Team Fortress is not necessary to play/get the best out of it. Also, we can't forget Portal. That game alone already kicks ass, and you get 5 games for the price of one. Its a steal

Half-Life 2 and Team fortress 2 are great games, but for me, the stand-out product in the Orange Box was Portal. Addictive and quick. You can run through it in about an afternoon, and it'll leave you begging for more.

I found it to be excellent value (especially when buying it from Steam and the £ is stronger than the $). Oh Team Fortress 2. I might as well have just bought that instead since that's all I play now

The 50 bucks is almost worth it just for the sheer joy of the 2-5 hour experience of Portal. Not too often to you play a game that is just so... awesome. And damn near universally accepted as such, even Yahtzee from Zero Punctioation had trouble coming up with bad things to say about it.

HL 2 + Epi 1 + Epi 2 + TF2 + Portal = Awesome, odd combo, but worth your money. It's a shame you guys didn't have the option to buy it for 25 bucks on black friday at Best Buy like some of us in the states did. And no, I didn't go through mobs of people, I rolled into the store around 9:30 PM and picked it up with no problems. Oh yeah, and Guild Wars for 10$.

Anyhow, get it, and we should get a TF2 GBATemp team/clan/whatever together on Steam.
