Hacking Options for 3ds 7.1.0-16U?

Hello guys, i've never really used any flashcard or CFW etc for my 3ds, it's currently sitting at the above version, i'm wondering what options do i have to run backups and play'em online? Is SKY3DS the only option?

Try out gateway's launcher - if it runs (it should), your console will work with gateway and that's a much better option than sky.

Basically just copy their launcher.dat to your sd card and visit the go url in the browser.

Thanks for the answer, i'll try that asap, i thought that gateway didn't worked for online play, but i just googled it and it seems you can patch the rom header in order to play online?

You can always downgrade to 4.x then setup a cfw and run some cia files in the mean time. But as it was stated above IMOP gateway is the superior card

Huh i'm having some issues trying to downgrade, i thought i only needed to copy the launcher file to the 3ds's sd and use the go url, but it gives an error saying "a error has occurred" and doesn't launch the gateway launcher

Is the launcher on the root of your sd card?

Don't know if it is necessary but hold down the left trigger when the bottom screen goes all white.

It couldn't hurt to try but it seems like a browser error

Yeap, i've even formatted my sd and put only this file in it
Same error, the bottom screen appears black with a message saying "gateway loading", something like, then it goes back to home screen with that error

It doesn't go all white, it goes from the black screen with "gateway loading" (from browser) directly to this error on home screen ('ve tried to hold L though, no change)

BTW, does it work without having the gateway blue card inserted right? (because, well, i haven't bought it yet as i was waiting to get it sucefully downgraded before)

EDIT: It also says "failed to load part of this page" on the top screen in the browser, not sure if its normal
