nvm i didn't know you were supposed to open up the ocarina...i have o3ds firmware 10.3 i can open up the save file but when i do it just boots up the game not homebrew....
Your boot.3dsx should be in sd:/This shit doesn't work.
I backed up my OoT game, went in and deleted it with the ABXY, flashed the new save to the cart with Powersaves, added the oot3dhax_installer to the 3ds directory on my SDXC card, added the starter pack to that directory too since it's my first time trying to hack my 3DS and nobody answers questions anymore, started the game, pressed A.
It goes to the black command prompt screen, then kicks me back to the Home menu with no additional icons. I have boot.3dsx file on root of sd:/3ds/
This was my one hope of hacking my 3DS, since I already had OoT and I'm not spending $80 on Cubic Ninja.
Would be nice if someone offered some help, but I see the past page of posts have gone unanswered. I'm using 10.3-28U.

Use these powersaves images

You'll have to rename the following .bin files to whatever your Powersaves backup files are named. Just rename and overwrite one of them with one of these.
Try the first, then the second if the first doesn't work.
saveimages_powersaves\cardids_45fe009000000000\usa\POST5_U_23552_usa_9221.bin
saveimages_powersaves\cardids_c2fe009000000000\usa\POST5_U_23552_usa_9221.bin
That's for old3ds, if you're using new3ds:
saveimages_powersaves\cardids_45fe009000000000\usa\N3DS_U_23552_usa_9221.bin
saveimages_powersaves\cardids_c2fe009000000000\usa\N3DS_U_23552_usa_9221.bin
My previous post talks about save files. They need to be flashed to the Zelda cart. Thanks for this info. I have an old 3DS, OOT LE version. I tried both and put them on sd:/3ds/ and sd root, but nothing happened. What exactly is this supposed to load up? Maybe I don't have it since I don't have Ironhax or tubehax.

You also need to put the boot.3dsx in the sd card root.
sd:/boot.3dsx
Games/apps need to go in:
sd:/3ds/gamename/gamename.3dsx
sd:/3ds/gamename/gamename.smdh
(for example)
i got the save file working, but it goes to a black screen, mentions something about ropbin, and then sends me back to the home menu. how do i fix that??? (i have the correct ropbin on the root of my SD card along with the homebrew starter pack)Use these powersaves images

if you are new3ds, use the new3ds save file.I got the hacked save to work but it keeps telling me "the homemenu ropbin is ready" then crashes to the 3ds home menu.
so i have no idea what to do
Im on a old 3dsxl(Zelda LBW 3ds) and i just got it to work. LOL i forgot to add the actual homebrew launcher to the SD card. Its something stupid but it happens .if you are new3ds, use the new3ds save file.
if you are old 3ds, use the post5 save file
should be a new3ds and post5 file with the same numbers after the "post5" or "new3ds"
