Hacking Online Play available with loadiine?

Starting to hear reports people can play backups online. Is that true? Been out of it for awhile and thought I would confirm with experts. I'm on 5.3.2. If so how? Using gx2.

Right now, we cant, but @dimok let on that the kernel exploit is a lot more useful!

For now let's continue to live with the lie that a custom IOS firmware is necessary for free DLC, online playing and whatever else the gold goose is said to bring to us .

Perhaps there is a private method to escalate privileges further? No doubt these guys are super clever and have something up their sleeves.

I dont think so since loadiine swaps the game you are playing into mii maker or smash so the server thinks you are playing those games instead but ive heard it has dlc support now

You'll need to spoof to 5.5.1 using WUP installer. It's explained on their thread.

maybe we can create our own game server ..and mod the Backup games changing the server adress to point to our servers. and implement an ID in each game so that the server recognises the game... something like this

Do we have to make a folder and drop the dlc in loadiine (how do we obtain them?)

or does loadiine take the DLC from where it is regularly (something loadiine seems to refuse to do as far as i know --for much the same reason why we can't play online)

edit: Pretty much found my answer going through the commits on github. Haven't tried it yet, but basically yes. From what I understand. Purchase DLC, and load in loadiine and it should work. I have to test this tomorrow.

you need to dump the dlc and put it in the SD enable it for that game. The devs did mention that loadiine could unlock dlc but they decided against releasing a build that does that as its functionality would be pure piracy

Oh really? I mistinterpreted the commit comment then. How would I go about dumping my DLC?

edit again: it appears that the AOC folder is DLC.

You cant currently, as there is no functionality for online yet with loadiine. Maybe one day, but not today.

You can exploit your wii and play online still. But only with Disc games and etitles you've paid for. There is no way to play loadiine online and personally I think it should stay that way.

Maybe a way to play other backup users like the xbox360 scene but backups and cheats should stay off official servers.

If you have cfw then that means you can play online already as 5.5.1 is the latest firmware

No to dlc since that would be piracy.
No to online since loadiine injects into the host and therefor looks for the hosts online features.
Just use cfw

No. Loadiine is no longer being developed, and the way it uses the mii maker channel to boot games would make it almost impossible to get it to work online.
