Hardware Online Family - Shared Purchases from sub accounts?

Hello everyone, I've been reading through a few threads but I'm still not 100% sure how the "Family" library sharing is working in detail.

I want to set up a Family Plan on my regular N Account, set to my region/country because from what I've heard you are forced to add a payment method to even be able to purchase the Family Plan.

My question is if I can simply add another account to the Family, with the region set to US, so I have access to the US eShop and have the purchases made on the US account shared across all the others? I'm not sure if I need to make all the purchases through the main account for them to be shared across all members. Hope someone can answer this for me

The family membership just gives everyone access to Nintendo Switch Online, it doesn't let you share digital games. If your family all shares the same switch, you can share digital games between anyone on that switch, but if you all have different switches, there is no easy way.
