    On the bottom right are two icons. I'm presuming the one on the right is to check for internet access, but what's the one on the left for?

    the globe is your internet status icon

    the small lizard is the GeckoUSB status icon dude

    I noticed that when my memory card was plugged in, the icon was lit and my Gamma Loader didn't work. When I took it out, everything was fine. Why is that?

    yer most of the loaders...well actually most homebrew apps have a issue with GC mem cards being inserted dude.

    Its because when a GC memory card is inserted it thinks that it's a USB Gecko and so it goes into a debug mode. I think.

    Yeah that's incredibly annoying too, because I usually keep a Japanese-formatted memory card in slot B, so I have to unplug it every time.
